AMFF publishing 16 Book for stars of 37 edition

Sixteen is the number of books will be published by Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival for it’s 37 edition that It takes place at Alexandria city from 25-30 September 2021.

AlAmir Abaza Manager of the AMFF confirmed already the number of publications that happen to be part of tribute program of some Arabic cinema icons

First book ‘Rebel’ by critic Mervat Omar, is telling the epic story of director Ali Badrakhan. Second title is ‘Criticism is a smiling lips’ written by critic Ahmed Saad El-Din about life and career of the great director Omar Abdel Aziz.

‘Faces and Margins’ is the third book, written by critic Nahed Salah about Egyptian actor Khaled El-Sawy’s career.

‘Subhan Al-Aty’ another book about the comedian writer Youssef Maati, written by Jihan Al-Gharbawi. going through his life .

The Egyptian actress Salwa Khattab is one of the books stars also, ‘a journey of art’ is about her, written by critic Muhammad Youssef Al-Sharif.

another one about critic Khairiya Al-Bishlawy titles ‘Lights and Shadows’ on the career of hers, written by Intisar Dardari, telling her story through more than half a century in the world of film criticism.

A book titles ‘Kawthar Heikal’ the icon of romance written by her daughter, Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat.

AMFF also publishing package of books celebrating centenary of some cinema icons like Dr. Tariq Al-Telmisani, The great star Kamal El-Shennawy, Actor Muhammad Reda, the great director Atef Salem.

Beside a special book by Samir Shehata, celebrate the former Minister of Culture, Dr. Tharwat Okasha, on the occasion of his centenary birthday.

Archiving what he gave to Egyptian culture in establishing the Academy of Arts and other achievements that testify to the greatness of what the man did.

The festival had film critic Dr. Walid Seif published his book about the masterpieces of the Alexandria Film Festival  2000-2020, which includes a collection of the most important films screened by the festival in twenty years.
