Madonna’s Halloween show in San Francisco

Befitting her new Madame X persona, Madonna is spending Halloween in San Francisco.

The 61-year-old pop icon plans to perform a trio of intimate dates at the 2,297- capacity Golden Gate Theatre on Oct. 31 and Nov. 2 and 4 as part of her tour in support of her latest album, also called “Madame X,” Live Nation representatives announced Monday, Sept. 9.

“It doesn’t get much better than this,” said Aaron Siuda, senior vice president of marketing for Live Nation. “Seeing an iconic artist like Madonna in an intimate venue is a dream — and having one of her three nights be on Halloween just takes it over the top.”

Tickets for Madonna’s concerts at the Golden Gate Theatre will go on sale to the
general public at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13.

There will be a presale event for Citi card members starting Tuesday, Sept. 10, running through Thursday, Sept. 12.

In addition to the San Francisco dates, the Madame X Tour will take Madonna to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the Wiltern in Los Angeles, the Boch Center Wang Theatre in Boston, the Met Philadelphia and the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre, before heading to Europe in 2020.

The start of the theater tour was delayed due to production issues.

“Madame X is a perfectionist and wants to give you the most unique, magical, and musical experience,” Madonna said in a statement. “She underestimated the amount of
time it would take to bring this kind of intimate theatrical experience to you and wants it to be perfect! Thank you so much for your understanding.”
