Opening Cairo’s power plant by Japanese government loan
Masaki Noki, Ambassador of Japan in Egypt just joined the ceremony of the North Cairo’s Power Plant opening.
The Japanese ambassador share positive speech with Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy in Egypt.
No mentioned that the power station has been refurbished through a loan from the Japanese Government
for the rehabilitation and improvement of the electricity sector.
At the opening ceremony, a contract has been signed for the refurbishment of other power stations.
specially Sidi Kerir power station and Al-Atf power station.
This project aims at stabilizing the supply of electricity by restoring the target capacity of thermal power stations
by modernizing equipment and providing spare parts.
The project is also expected to contribute to economic and social development
as well as mitigate the impact of climate change in Egypt
by stabilizing electricity supply and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
