MANARAT Festival celebrates Egyptian and Italian cinema

With its second edition this week, the Manarat Festival of Mediterranean Cinema in Tunis decided to celebrate Egyptian and Italian cinema.

and highlight the latest productions of the last few decades.
Dora Bouchoucha, director of the festival, announce that they invited many egyptian stars like ..

Elham Shahin, Nelly Karim, Mahmoud Hamida, Yousri Nasrallah.

Also, Helmi El-Deridi from Tunisia and Dardenne brothers of Belgium will be guests at the second edition of the festival.

Manarat Festival program includes 54 feature films and documentary films

as well as 13 short films from more than 20 countries.

The official competition includes only ten films from Albania, Cyprus, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey.

The jury consists of Algerian writer Kamal Daoud, Egyptian actress Salwa Mohamed Ali, French director Michel Leclair, Tunisian actress Suhair Ben Amara

and Turkish actress Damla Sounmaz.

Free screenings are offered on the most beeches of the Tunisian coast

from north to south in La Marsa, Khair El-Din, Hammam El-Asef, Kerba, Bizerte, Gabes, Sfax and Djerba.

Also, the festival program includes discussions with filmmakers and training workshops.
