TIFFCOM 2026: Asia’s Top Content Market Sets Fall Dates, Unveils Conference Slate

TIFFCOM, Asia’s premier content market affiliated with the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF), is gearing up for its 23rd edition this fall, bringing together top-tier film, television, and animation content holders, buyers, producers, and media executives from across the globe.

The three-day industry gathering will run from Oct. 28 to 30 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center HAMAMATSUCHO-KAN. Designed as a key hub for international co-productions and IP monetization, the market will feature project pitch sessions, networking events, and structured IP showcases aimed at fostering cross-border entertainment deals.

Organizers report strong early momentum for the 2026 edition, with visitor registration for buyers and industry professionals pacing roughly 20 percent ahead of the same period last year. A wide slate of international and regional media companies from Japan, Asia, and global markets have already locked in their attendance.

In a key operational update for 2026, the market’s signature educational and panel track—formerly known as the seminar program—has been officially rebranded as “Conferences.” The revamped program will host prominent global creators and executives analyzing critical industry trends, including AI integration in entertainment, international co-production frameworks, intellectual property expansion, and the global export of Japanese content. Organizers have unveiled the first wave of speakers and panel topics for this year’s conference lineup.
