Reese Witherspoon’s Son Tennessee Is Her Legally Blonde Twin in Sweet Birthday Tribute

Reese Witherspoon had a sweet birthday tribute for 12-year-old son Tennessee—whom she shares with ex Jim Toth—thanking him for making her “laugh everyday.”

Don’t worry, you’re not seeing double.

Although Reese Witherspoon has proven that she has yet another mini me with son Tennessee. The Legally Blonde star shared a sweet snap of her youngest—whom she shares with ex Jim Toth—in honor of Tennessee’s birthday. And it is clear he gets his bright blonde locks from his mom.

“Happy 12th Birthday to my wonderful son, Tenn!” Reese wrote on Instagram Sept. 27, alongside a photo of the two. “I’m so lucky to have your joyful, curious, hilarious spirit in my life making me laugh everyday. I love you, buddy.”

And Reese wasn’t the only one wishing him a happy birthday, as his siblings Ava Phillippe, 25, and Deacon Phillippe, 20—their dad is Ryan Phillippe—also gave a shout out to their little brother.

“Can’t believe my once tiny brother…” Ava shared on her Instagram Stories Sept. 26 with a throwback photo of the two, per People, “… is now 12 years old & about to be my same height.”

The second image featured a recent photo of the pair, with Tennessee standing just a few inches shorter than Ava.

“Happy happy birthday to this quick-witted, funny, curious & thoughtful dude,” she added, “that I’m lucky enough to call my baby brother.”

Deacon shared his own message to his Instagram Stories, writing, “What up 12,” according to People and adding, “Love this kid.”

And while the siblings have a large age gap, Reese has spoken before about how having that time between her children was actually something she appreciated.

“I had kids when I was 23,” the 48-year-old told E! News in 2023, “so I think I always worried, ‘Am I doing this right? Am I messed up? Did I do it right?'”

She added, “But now, I feel more confident—I’ve been doing it for 23 years—that I probably got some stuff right.”

Another thing she got right? Making sure all of her kids look exactly like her. So much so that sometimes people think she’s Ava.

“I love being mistaken for her because it makes me feel so young,” she said to InStyle in 2021, noting Ava doesn’t seem to mind it either. “She really rolls with it. I’m sure it’s not easy looking exactly like your mother.”
