Enas Al Degheidy cries through Alexandria tribute

Amid strict precautionary measures due to the Corona virus, in addition to the unstable climatic conditions that Alexandria Governorate is going through, the managing of Alexandria Film Festival launched the activities of the festival in its 36th session after canceling the opening ceremony.

The festival’s current edition carries the name of the Egyptian artist Ezzat Al-Alayli, and he will be tribute, iplus actor Salah Abdullah, Raghda, director Enas Al-Deghaidi and director of photography Mohsen Ahmed.

 

Festival seminars

A number of symposiums were held during the first day of the festival, including a symposium honoring the name of the late director of photography, Abdulaziz Fahmy, to celebrate his centenary, in the presence of his nieces, Nelly and Latifa Fahmy, who was known for his clear fingerprints in the film industry, especially in the sixties.

For cinema, a number of art giants such as director of photography Mohsen Ahmed and others graduated from him. The director of photography and student of the late Mohsen Ahmed revealed that he was a father to him, and he sponsored the creativity of his students, and confirmed that he had a private school that we call “Abdulaziz Fahmy School”, and confirmed that his creativity appeared through the movie “The Mummy”, and that specialists realize the value of Abdulaziz Fahmy. More than the public, especially since he was one of the first directors of photography in Egypt, who used the lights of nature to innovate in his image, and he did not imitate foreigners, but rather made his own image.

 

Enas Al Deghidi tribute

In the presence of an artistic and public audience, AMFF gave tribute to the Egyptian film director, Enas El-Deghaidy, witnessed by number of stars, including Ezzat Al-Alayli, Elham Shaheen and Hala Sedky.

Al-Deghaidy confirmed her happiness with the tribute, and the young director Nour eddine presented a documentary film about her cinematic career, which made Al-Deghaidy cry during its presentation, as the film recorded the beginning of her directing career.

Al-Deghaidi commented on the matter by saying that she joined the Film Institute because she was rejected in more than one place, and her teachers advised her to apply in the production department, and they actually accepted her, and she knew there the meaning of the art, especially that the late director Salah Abu Seif advised her to go to film directing, and indicated that she She did not imagine that a woman would direct a movi.

In this occasion, Elham Shaheen said that honoring El Deghidi at Alexandria Film Festival is a celebration of enlightening thought, and pointed out that Enas is distinguished in her work and bold in her subjects, stressing that she presented issues that many directors could not present, and indicated that she wished to work with her after she saw her.
